Final Fight Ultimate - The Sega Mega Drive is still getting a seriously cool Arcade like version of Final Fight!

For those of you who are looking for another great Sega Mega Drive news story, we have just been tagged via Twitter that Mauro Xavier together with Edmo Caldas and Master Linkuei, are not only still working on bringing Final Fight over to the Sega Mega Drive as Final Fight Ultimate. But this latest footage shows how good the game looks with improved character designs, and more faithful sounds using Retroarch with Genesis DX core + 60% filter + Nuked YM2612. As one person puts it "This looks better than the Sega CD port already".

As we said before, while the SNES version had multiple things missing such as Level 4, an entire character, and no two-player mode. From what we know about this version that's being created by Mauro Xavier, music by Edmo Caldas and Master Linkuei, who is working on ripping, tricks & tech support. The creators have mentioned via Twitter, It will different from the Sega CD version because they are changing the assets, improving upon the Sega CD release and using more graphics from the arcade version. So yes this is one version of Final Fight we can't wait to try when it gets an eventual release for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis.

  2. This looks like it will be one of the great retro remakes. I'd like to see them port it to the Amiga too.
